Volunteer and Field Network

Volunteers are at the heart of Apex Care Foundation’s impact. Whether offering time, skills or lived experience, our volunteers play a vital role in reaching communities, delivering services and amplifying our mission.

Our growing field network includes individuals from a wide range of backgrounds – teachers, social workers, carers, students, medical professionals and others who are committed to making a difference where it matters most.

We believe that volunteering should be a meaningful, empowering and mutually respectful experience. That’s why we focus on building a network that is well-trained, well-supported and deeply aligned with our values.

Why Volunteers Matter

Volunteers extend our reach, bring diversity of thought and strengthen our community-based delivery. They help us:

  • Provide hands-on support in schools, homes and outreach centres

  • Mentor and guide children, young people and families

  • Organise local engagement and awareness events

  • Offer specialist input in education, care, health or safeguarding

  • Act as local ambassadors and connectors between communities and services

Volunteer Pathways

We welcome volunteers through a range of pathways:

  • Local volunteering – Supporting activities within your own community or region

  • Remote roles – Offering support with administrative, communications or digital tasks

  • Field placements – Assisting with specific projects, schools or community hubs in high-priority areas

  • Professional volunteering – Sharing sector expertise or providing mentoring, training or consultancy

  • Youth volunteering – Engaging younger people in service, advocacy and peer support roles

We are committed to offering flexible and inclusive opportunities that fit people’s availability, strengths and interests.

Training, Safeguarding and Support

All volunteers are onboarded through a structured process that includes:

  • Safeguarding and data protection training

  • Clear role expectations and codes of conduct

  • Ongoing check-ins, supervision and wellbeing support

  • Recognition of contributions through references, certificates or public acknowledgment

We take our duty of care seriously – for the people we serve and for those who give their time to help us.

Growing a Global Network

In the years ahead, we aim to expand our volunteer network to include individuals and partners from across the globe who can contribute virtually or in-person to our mission. We believe that social impact knows no borders, and that shared commitment can create powerful connections across communities.

Whether for a few hours a week or a long-term placement, volunteering with Apex Care Foundation is an opportunity to be part of something meaningful – to give, grow and help build a more compassionate world.
