The 1% Contribution Model
Apex Care Foundation is supported by a unique, values-based funding framework known as the 1% contribution model – a simple but powerful commitment that enables long-term, scalable impact.
This model invites partner companies to commit 1% of their annual profits to our charitable work, embedding philanthropy into their operations and turning business success into direct social good.
How the Model Works
Participating organisations pledge to contribute 1% of their annual profits to Apex Care Foundation. These funds are used to:
Deliver frontline support across our core focus areas
Expand the reach and depth of our programmes
Strengthen community-based solutions and grassroots partnerships
Build long-term capacity without relying on high-volume fundraising
The structure is clear, predictable and easy to implement – a fixed percentage, once a year, with high transparency and maximum impact.
Why It Matters
This model:
Provides sustainable, unrestricted funding for core programmes and strategic development
Reduces fundraising pressure, allowing us to focus more on delivery than appeals
Aligns business growth with community impact, making every successful year a shared achievement
Demonstrates purpose and leadership in a practical, measurable way
Benefits for Participating Organisations
A clear and ethical commitment to social good
Public recognition as a purpose-led partner (where agreed)
Opportunities for staff involvement, joint storytelling and collaborative campaigns
A simple and credible CSR mechanism that scales with business performance
Governance and Transparency
All 1% contributions are:
Formalised through a partnership agreement
Used solely to support our charitable objectives
Tracked and reviewed through internal reporting and impact evaluation
Managed with full transparency and compliance with charity regulations
We value trust. Our partners support us not to check a box, but because they believe in building a better world through meaningful, principled giving.
The 1% contribution model is more than a number. It’s a statement of shared purpose – where ethical business becomes a force for good, and children and communities gain the resources they need to thrive.
